A Celebration of Life for Elsie Lee Beaver Gillespie, 97, of Ellisville, MO, formerly of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Carrell Still officiating. Burial will follow in the Canton Cemetery; services are under the direction of Ladusau Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Elsie was born March 13, 1929, in Dewey County, Oklahoma, to Jerry Titus Beaver and Ella Lois Gertrude Loewen Beaver and passed away on July 20, 2026, in Ellisville, St. Louis County, Missouri at the Fountains West County nursing home.Elsie graduated from Greenfield High School in 1947 and graduated from Enid Business College. Elsie married Lonnie C. Gillespie, Jr., on December 17, 1950. They were married 67 years. Elsie was a member for over 50 years of Enid Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron twice, Past President of Shriners Ladies, Antique Car Club, and volunteered at Integris Hospital for 29 years. Elsie moved to Ellisville to be near her daughter and family in 2018, after the death of her husband.

Elsie enjoyed reading, traveling, and being with her family.

She is survived by daughter Peggy J. Anderson (Doug); grandson Michael Paul Gillespie (Kim); two granddaughters, Dr. Kristin J. Anderson Terpstra (Ben), Lauren E. Anderson Arnet (Jim); and two great-granddaughters, Samantha Mackenzie Arnet and Branwen Ella Terpstra. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son Mark Alan Gillespie.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children Hospital, with Ladusau- Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
