A Celebration of Life service for E.R. Andrew, Jr will be at 10:00 am Wednesday at Emmanuel Enid with Dr. Rev Shonn Keels officiating. A Private burial will be before the service in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
E.R. Andrew Jr. died peacefully at home on August 19, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in 1936 in Enid to Eugene Russell Andrew Sr. and Frankie (Parker) Andrew, he attended Adams Elementary School, Longfellow Jr. High and was a proud member of the Enid High School class of 1954. He married his high school sweetheart Lou Ellen Holley a month after graduation. They were both only 17 and had to get special permission from their parents. They moved to Stillwater where Dad enrolled at Oklahoma A & M. He graduated with a degree in Business from Oklahoma State University in 1959. Their son Bill was born that same year and Dad set sights on a career. He worked jobs in Denver and Kansas City with his son Tim being born in 1960. He then moved back to Enid and became a loan officer with Liberty Federal Savings & Loan. Their third son Rob was born in 1962. It was at Liberty Federal that Dad learned about the real estate business. His friend Joe Atchley talked him into getting his real estate license in 1966. After a year of working for Joe, he decided to go out on his own. That was when Andrew Real Estate was born. He & Mom built the business totally by themselves. First from the den of their home, then to a small house they bought and renovated at 209 N. Van Buren. Their youngest & favorite son Tom was born in 1970. Mom & Dad worked well together. Mom did the books while Dad hustled and brought in business. There were many highs and lows, but Dad worked long hours and built relationships. His goal was not to always be the biggest, but to make sure he took care of his clients honestly and fairly. At one point all four of his sons had a real estate license and worked for him. Dad was very active in the community. He served on too many boards to list but suffice it to say in his 55+ years in business there were more boards he was on than ones he was not. He was extremely respected in the real estate industry. He served in every capacity at our local association and was appointed by both Governor Keating and Governor Henry to the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission. Serving as chairman in 2004. Dad was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he served in many capacities and continued the lessons he learned growing up at Westside Baptist Church. Westside is where he met Mom in the 8th grade and where they were married. Dad enjoyed snow skiing, tubing with his grand kids, Oklahoma State, and an occasional bourbon & 7... but most of all Dad loved to travel. He went everywhere he could go, as often as his work and then his health would allow. He spent time in China, all over Europe and countless cruises just about everywhere. He & Mom would go on long drives across the country with no real destination or care when they would return. Not being able to travel was his only disappointment in getting old.
Dad is survived by his second wife Evelyn Rogers, sons Bill and his wife Darla, Tim and his wife Jeanne & Tom and his wife Jessica. Eight grandchildren Sean (LaToshia), Brett (Thania), Tara (Christian), Tyler, Tricity, Parker, Luke (Emily) & Russell (Savana), seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson and several nieces, nephews and countless loving Parker cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Lou Ellen, son Rob, and his great grandson Colby. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Enid or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation-Kidney Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
Condolences may be made and the service may be viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com.
