1931 Frances 2025

Frances Boileau

January 7, 1931 — August 17, 2025

With great sorrow but deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of our dear "Granny Franny," Frances Ruth Krittenbrink Boileau, on August 17, 2025. She went to be with the Lord at the age of 94. She inspired many with her positive, cheerful outlook and her joyful anticipation of heaven.

Fran was born January 7, 1931, at the home of her parents, Arthur and Eva (Wiens) Neufeld, and was welcomed by her brother Don and sister Floreine. She grew up on a farm during the Depression, which instilled in Fran lifelong values of helping those in need and sharing what you had. She carried her intelligence and determination with her throughout life, first recognized when she graduated as Valedictorian of Lahoma High School in 1948. She enrolled at Oklahoma A&M College before working at a bank in Enid, Okla. and living at the YWCA.

On February 5, 1951, Fran married her beloved partner and true love, John Theodore "Johnie" Krittenbrink, who preceded her in death in 1991. Together they settled in Jefferson, Okla., on Prairieview Wheat Farm and raised four children. They were proud members of the International Flying Farmers Association, where Fran was honored as Oklahoma Flying Farmers Queen in 1956, a reflection of her dedication to both farming and aviation.

In her later years, she married J.B. Boileau, with whom she shared her life in Enid, Okla., until his passing.

Fran was a woman of deep faith and dedicated her life to Jesus in the Pentecostal Church at a young age. After her marriage to Johnie, she joined the Catholic Church and was active for many years at St. Joseph's in Pond Creek, Okla. In her final years, she attended Jefferson Methodist Church, where she continued to worship her Lord and Savior among friends and neighbors.

Fran believed in giving back to her community and was active in many roles of service. She served faithfully in the St. Joseph Altar Society, was a member of Busy Moms, and assisted as a Garfield County Election Precinct Worker. In all she did, Fran was known for her willingness to give to others.

Fran had a lively spirit and a playful sense of humor, always ready with a smile that could brighten any room. She loved style and sparkle, often remembered for her fashionable flair and the way she carried herself with grace. Above all, her greatest joy was found in her family, and she treasured every moment with them.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love through her children Ted (Merilyn) Krittenbrink of Wellston, Okla., Cheri (John) Michael of Medford, Okla., and Cindy (Mike) Bobbitt of Lamont, Okla.; grandchildren Shane (Kaley) Krittenbrink, Mandi (Justin) Danker, Lori Lyn (Chub) Woods, Seth Michael, Drew (Stephanie) Michael, Johnie (Heidi) Michael, Rachel (Brett) Jackson, and Ruth (Trent) Inman; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren with two on the way. Fran was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, brother Don Neufeld, sister Floreine Kuxhaus, and son Tommy Krittenbrink.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Jefferson United Methodist Church, 1153 Pond Creek Ave., in the town of Jefferson, Okla., with grandson Pastor Johnie Michael officiating.

Fran and her beloved husband, Johnie Krittenbrink, will be laid to rest together at the Pond Creek Cemetery, a final reunion of their love and shared life.
