Franklin D Doty

Franklin "D" Doty, CPO, USN retired passed away on October 6, 2026 in the Arbors. He was born February 11, 1937 in Oklahoma City to Roy and Ruth (Robinson) Doty. He was 8th in a family of 11 children and all but one, Keith of Florida preceded him. They later moved to Enid where he graduated from Enid High School in 1954.

He had many exciting experiences during his 20 years in the Navy on ships, airplanes, and on the ground in Vietnam. During retirement he built a 42' sail boat for he and his wife Florence, to travel but she became ill and passed away. Later he returned to Enid and married the former Jackie Teague on August 10, 2005 and she passed away June 10, 2026.

Franklin is survived by his children Bill (Cathy) Doty, Laura (Doug) McLemore, and step daughter Linda Jenkins, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a brother Keith Doty and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, son in law David, and grandson Trey.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
