Funeral services for Marie Henry will be 11:00am, Saturday, December 16, 2023 in the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev David Bingham officiating. Burial will follow in Hennessey Calvary Cemetery, under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 6pm-7pm Friday, December 15th at the funeral home.
On Saturday, December 9, 2023, Marie June (Burge) Henry, loving wife and mother of four, passed away at the age of 89. Marie was born February 22, 1934 in Hennessey, Oklahoma, to Buford and Ora (Macy) Burge. Marie married the love of her life, Jack Henry, on June 3, 1951. Together in Enid, they raised three daughters, Debbie, Kay, and Jan along with a son, Gary.
Marie was dedicated to raising her family. Marie worked at TG&Y in the office and then the YMCA from where she retired. In 1952, she graduated from Hennessey High School, and then moved to Enid where she made her home. She was very active in her church, Your Family Church. She loved her crossword puzzles and
watching game shows; Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune were her favorites.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Burford and Ora Burge; husband Jack Henry; daughter, Debbie McBroom; three sisters, Wilma, Atha Ruth, and Hazel; four brothers, Emerson, Clifford, Lavere and Benny; son-in-law Robert Cook and daughter-in-law Lavon Henry.
She is survived by three children, daughter Kay Cook, of Norman, OK; son Gary Henry, of Missouri; daughter, Jan Ream and husband Joe, of Bella Vista, AR. Also surviving Marie are ten grandchildren; Kyle McBroom and wife Arrean, of Illinois; Megan Van Wart and husband Adam, of Florida; Kacee McDonald and husband Jason, of Edmond, OK; Levi Ream and wife Kristi, of Fairmont, OK; Shawn McBroom and wife Christi, of Choctaw, OK; Boe Ream and wife Jessica, of Pea Ridge, AR; Kayla Duroy and husband Chris, of Newalla, OK; Rachael Henry and Josh, of Pea Ridge, AR; Kean McBroom and wife Jamie, of Newalla, OK; Daniel Henry and wife Sara, of Oregon; as well as 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
