Jane Avis Hamil

Jane Avis Penner Hamil, 83, of Enid, OK passed away August 1, 2026, in Enid, OK. Jane was born at home in rural Isabella, OK on July 17, 1943, to Parents: Frank Penner and Esther Alice Penner (Becker) originally from Fairview and Galva, KS respectfully.

Jane graduated from Okeene High School in 1961. Post Graduation, Jane worked for First National Bank on Grand & Randolph - Accruals & Accounts - Balancing Books and Operating the Phones. She worked for Ritchie Paving - Quality Control.

Jane met her husband, Larry Hamil, in Enid, OK and they were married on July 16, 1966, making their home in Enid. They recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary.

Jane is survived by her husband, Larry, her (2) sons Chris Hamil and Leslie, Craig Hamil and Hilary, both of Enid; grandchildren Hayden and Jay; stepsons Larry Hamil, Jr. (JR) and Rose, Lester Hamil and Melissa; sisters Violet Eggers and Denton (D), Patsy Nobis and Roland (D), Lois Hicks and Buddy, and her brother Larry Penner, all of whom reside in the Enid area.

Jane is predeceased by her parents, her sister Anita Gifford, and her brothers Lynn Penner and Julian (Frank) Penner.

A Memorial of her Life will be held in the future.

In lieu of Flowers, the family is requesting any Contributions be made in her honor to Hospice Circle of Love in Enid or Dolly's Cat Sanctuary in Hillsdale, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
