Jeffrey Mike McClurg

A Celebration of Life Service for Mike McClurg, age 74, of Enid, is 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Paster Dave Jones officiating. Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mike was born on July 10th, 1952, in Enid, OK to Tom and Doody McClurg, and passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, August 11, surrounded by his family.

Mike spent his early elementary school years in Enid Public Schools and moved to Waukomis at the age of ten where he finished his education and graduated from Waukomis High School in 1971. On July 13th, 1974, he married his High School sweetheart Debbie Markes in Enid, OK; they were married 52 years.

After graduation he followed his dad into the farming business; in 1984 he began his career at Vance Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic, retiring in December of 2018, after 34 years. In 2015, Mike and his beloved wife moved from the family farm to Enid. Mike enjoyed golfing, gardening and watching his "trained" Blue Jays.

He was always present at his grandkid's softball games, dance recitals and band concerts. Mike was known to sneak the grandkids treats after grandma already said no.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; great aunt Bete Gillespie; and brother-in-law Dennis Garrett.

He is survived by his wife Debbie of the home; two daughters and son in laws Melissa and Travis and Emily and Phillip; four grandchildren Rylee, Baylor, Anndi and Emersyn all of Enid; siblings and spouses Denny and Kathy McClurg, Melanie Garrett and Joe McClurg; and many nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to the Waukomis Fire Department, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodians of the funds.
