Kimberly Dawn Hedges

August 7, 1968 — June 18, 2026

A Celebration of Life Service for Kimberly Dawn Hedges, 57, of Fairmont, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the Gymnasium at Pioneer High School, with Rev. Tommy Donaldson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Kimberly Dawn Hedges, lovingly known as "Kim" and affectionately called "Goose" by her grandchildren, left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family. She was born on August 7, 1968, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, to Debbie Guthrie and was later adopted by Billy Vaden. Kim attended Pioneer Schools and graduated with the Class of 1987. On November 7, 1987, she married the love of her life, Jamie Hedges, at Pioneer Pleasant Vale Community Church-on the day of Bedlam Football, a date neither of them would ever forget. Together they built a beautiful life and raised three sons: Hesston, Haden, and Holden.

Family was the center of Kim's world. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, and fierce protector of those she loved. As her boys grew, she dedicated herself to ensuring they always felt supported and encouraged. She worked for UPS for ten years, often starting her days before sunrise so she could be home in time to care for her family and attend every game, event, and activity possible. Whether on the sidelines or in the stands, Kim was always her boys' loudest and proudest supporter, known for her unmistakable war call and enthusiastic spirit.

As her family expanded, Kim embraced her daughters-in-law, Kaelyn, Sadee, and Melanie, with the same love and warmth she gave to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She treasured the special relationships she built with each of them. Nothing brought Kim more joy than her grandchildren. Her beloved "Team Hedges" consisted of Finn, Hyde, Jett, Huxton, Jaxon, Hank, Hadlee, Ozzy, and Jarrett. Goose delighted in spoiling her "Hooligans" with thoughtful gifts, favorite toys, candy, and treats. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she had a way of making every one of them feel uniquely loved by whispering that they were her favorite.

Kim's vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She never knew a stranger and had an extraordinary gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and loved. Her infectious smile, contagious laugh, and joyful spirit could light up any room. She was truly the life of the party, bringing people together and creating memories that will be cherished for generations. Though her family's hearts are heavy with loss, they find comfort in the countless memories she created and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored, the friendships she nurtured, and the many lives she touched with her kindness and generosity.

Kim is survived by her devoted husband, Jamie Hedges; her sons and daughters-in-law, Hesston and Kaelyn Hedges, Haden and Sadee Hedges, and Holden and Melanie Hedges; her eight grandsons and one granddaughter; her beloved father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clee Jay and Pat Hedges; sister-in-law Holly Capra and husband Chad; brother Keith Spoonhunter; sister Lana Johnson; Auntie Imogene Mashburn; and numerous extended family members and treasured friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Step father and mother Winston and Debbie Guthrie, grandparents Buzzy and Faith Anderson, her uncle Butch Anderson.

Kim's love, laughter, and generous heart will forever remain a guiding light to all who knew her. While she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live on through the family she loved so dearly and the countless lives she brightened along the way.
