LaWanna Marie Kingcade

Graveside Service for LaWanna Marie Kingcade, age 88, of Enid, will be 10:00 am, Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in Meno, OK, with Steve Williams officiating. Service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

LaWanna was born on December 8, 1937, in Pampa, TX to Glenn and Edna (Cook) Andrews, and passed away on October 31, 2026, in Enid.

LaWanna graduated from Pampa High School in 1956 and later moved to Enid in 1967. She married Ernest on July 15, 1989, in Enid. LaWanna was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Enid. Her faith was an important part of her life, having been saved and baptized at the age of thirteen.

LaWanna enjoyed attending Solo Club, where she met her future husband, Ernest. In her spare time, she loved working crossword puzzles and watching and shopping on QVC.

LaWanna was a loving mother and devoted wife who meant so much to her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

LaWanna is preceded in death by her parents; son Daryl Thornton; step children, Michael Kingcade, Scotty Kingcade, and Donna Kingcade; and brother Gayle Andrews. She is survived by her husband Ernest, children, Chris Thornton, Greg Thornton, Monica Kingcade, Dean Kingcade, Alicia Kingcade, Cherri Weber, and Theresa; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to NWOK DAV Chapter 66, Enid, OK, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodian of the funds.
