Funeral services for Mamie Jean Jantz will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Grace Mennonite Church with Pastor Mike Sommerfeld officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 7th from 6:30-8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mamie Jean Jantz age 95 was born near Goltry, Oklahoma on July 21, 1929, to Furd Buller and Nina (Penner) Buller. She went to be with Our Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Jean (as SHE liked to be called) graduated from Goltry High School in 1948. She married Paul Ray Jantz on June 5, 1949. They were blessed with 71 years of marriage and from this union were born two children, son Gary and daughter Sherry.

Paul and Jean lived in the Goltry area for seven years and then moved to Enid, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and also worked for 16 years as a Techer's Aide at the Cherokee Park School. She was a member of the Grace Mennonite Church where she was active in the music groups, especially the Ladies Trio. One of her other talents was her ability to sit down and play the piano by ear, NO sheet music required. She was also a member of the Women in Missions.

Jean's grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her husband Paul, of 71 years passed from this life on February 28, 2021.

She is survived by her son Gary and wife Linda of Imperial, Nebraska and daughter, Sherry Boehs and husband Bruce of Fairview, Oklahoma; Seven (7) Grandchildren and Thirteen (13) Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one (1) granddaughter, three (3) sisters and two (2) brothers.

Memorial contributions in Jean's name may be made to Grace Mennonite Church with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
