A Celebration of Life Service for Margaret Therese Rueda, 75, of Kailua, Hawaii, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel, with Reverend Vernon Lee officiating; with burial following in the Enid Cemetery. Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Margaret Therese Rueda, 75, was born on September 27, 1950, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Frank and Mary (Houser) Vogt, and passed away on May 3, 2026, in Kailua, Hawaii.

She will be remembered as a devoted mother, a loyal friend, and a woman of remarkable patience and kindness. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering compassion touched the lives of everyone she met. She found joy in helping others and leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and selfless service.

Margaret was raised in Long Beach, California; she later made her home in Garden Grove, California, where she spent most of her life just a short distance from her favorite place on earth, Disneyland. In 2016, she moved to Kailua, Hawaii, to be near her children and grandchildren.

Margaret is survived by her son, Jimi (Jessica) Gumpfer; her daughter, Marisa Gumpfer; her grandsons, Andrae, Tyler, and Trevor Gumpfer; her sister, Kathryn Anderson; and her brothers, James (Maria) Vogt and William (Nora) Vogt.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt mahalo to the entire team at Pohai Nani Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Care Center for the exceptional care, patience, and friendship they provided to Margaret over the past four years. Your kindness and dedication made a lasting difference in her life, and you became an extension of our family. We are forever grateful.
