A Celebration of Life service for Orville R. Ehardt age 77 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Sojourn Church with Pastor Jim Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Orville was born August 24, 1948 in Enid to Harvey and Evelyn (Earhart) Ehardt and passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He attended and graduated from Enid High School in 1967. He worked at Martin Body Shop where he learned how to restore and repair vehicles. He later worked for Howell Tire Company. Orville went to work for Speedstar-George E. Failing as a Machinist retiring in 2014. In the evenings, he would rebuild and paint classic cars. Orville married Debra Becker on March 23, 1973 in Enid.
Orville is survived by his wife Debbie, his children; Valerie and husband Ricky McCollum, Crystal and husband Roy Powell, Kelli and husband Curtis Shimanek, Rick and wife Brandi Ehardt, and Josh and wife Shawna Ehardt, grandchildren; Austin and Toreai, Madison, Caleb, Rylee, Macie, Caden, Jaxon, Avery, Abby and Liam, and great granddaughter Gwen, also a brother Paul and wife Renee, and several other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jim, Rex, Charlie and Dean, and a sister Darlene.
