A Celebration of Life Service for Phillip Lindell, age 84, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jim Edmison officiating. The Enid Fire Department Honor Guard will provide full retirement honors. Service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Phil was born on December 11, 1940 in Enid, OK to Ivan and Mable (Ratcliff) Lindell, and passed away May 11, 2025 in Enid.
Phil graduated from Dibble High School in 1958, shortly after he met Darlene Pridemore, and were married December 19, 1959 in Drummond, OK. After high school Phil worked on a farm around Drummond, until he joined the Enid Fire Department in 1965. He worked as a firefighter for two years, then was promoted to driver where he stayed until he retired in 1986.
Phil enjoyed bee keeping, and in 2001, he was named Beekeeper of The Year. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren, watching his grandsons' ball games, and watching the Atlanta Braves and the Oklahoma Sooner ball games.
Phil is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Darlene Lindell; baby brother; and daughter in law, Lynn Lindell. He is survived by two sons, Daryl A. Lindell, Steve L. and wife Jae Lindell; three grandsons, James, Jeffrey, and Matthew Lindell; one great granddaughter, Timber "TD" Lindell; one sister, Iva Ann Stone; and wife, Shirley Lindell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Phil's name be made to the Diabetes Foundation, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
