Richard William Davis, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones on May 22, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Born on February 23, 1950, in Amarillo, Texas, Richard lived a life defined by curiosity, adventure, loyalty, and a deep love for his family and friends.

Richard graduated from Western Technical College in Denver, Colorado, in 1970 as a cartographer, beginning a lifelong journey of exploration and discovery. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where he spent 17 years building memories and embracing the rugged beauty of the state. Over the years, his journey carried him across the country, including time in Ormond Beach, Florida; Las Vegas, Nevada; San Diego, California; Oklahoma City and Norman, Oklahoma; and finally, Enid, Oklahoma.

Richard had a passion for computers, fishing, photography, animals, and the outdoors. He approached life with an explorer's spirit and an open mind toward adventure. His faith in God remained an important foundation throughout his life.

Those who knew Richard will remember him as friendly, gregarious, curious, and endlessly welcoming. He had a keen ability to make friends wherever he went. Once you met Richard, you became part of his tribe. He was fiercely loyal to those he loved and would do anything to help family or friends in need.

Richard lived life fully and chased his dreams without limits. He was a fighter, a lover of life, and someone who genuinely valued the people around him. His legacy is one of kindness, adventure, resilience, and unwavering love for family.

Richard shared 39 years of love, partnership, and adventure with his devoted wife, Debbie. From the moment they met, they knew they had found something special. After meeting on May 22, they were married just weeks later on June 27, beginning a lifelong journey together built on love, faith, friendship, and unwavering support for one another. Through every chapter of life, Debbie remained his closest companion, greatest source of strength, and the love of his life.

He is survived by his sons, Bryce Davis (Laura), and Matt Davis (Rocio); his grandchildren, Chris Davis (Haley), Jaycee Davis, and Andres Vega (Krissi); and his great-granddaughter, Cora Davis. He is also survived by his sisters, Debra Hard (Bobby), and Julie Miller.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Nadine Davis; his grandparents, Jimmie and Vivian Christal; and his aunt and uncle, Delmore and Carolyn Christal.

The family asks that Richard be remembered not for the way he passed, but for the way he lived: with courage, curiosity, laughter, faith, and an open heart for everyone he met.

In honor of Richard's life and memory, memorial contributions may be made to CompleteOK Home Health & Hospice in Enid, Oklahoma, or to the Oklahoma Parkinson's Alliance, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory serving as custodian of the funds.
