A memorial service for Robert Joseph "Bob" Killam, age 77, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. The United States Air Force Honor Guard and the Enid Fire Department Honor Guard will provide military and Fireman's honors. Funeral and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Bob was born May 14, 1948, in Enid, to Dwight and Dorothy (Nutt) Killam, and passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Enid.
Bob graduated from Enid High School in 1967 and then joined the United States Air Force where he served his country for four years. He worked for the City of Enid for two years before joining the Enid Fire Department in 1973. He married Cheryl McKay on September 3, 1974, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Enid. They have two daughters, Tiffany and Crystal. He worked for Enid Fire Department for 25 years, retiring in 1998 after 25 years. He then worked for Emergency Management for two years and helped with the construction of Leonardo's Children's Museum. He then worked for NOC at the Observatory & Mackie Planetarium as an adjunct instructor for 11 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Dorothy Killam, and brother Donald Killam. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cheryl Killam, of the home in Enid, two daughters, Tiffany Burns and husband Bob, of Edmond, Crystal Smith and husband Quentin, of Lahoma, three grandchildren, Shelby and Maverick Smith, of Lahoma, and Rhayven Burns, of Edmond. A sister, Kathy Vickers and husband Butch, of Enid, also survive Bob, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cheryl and her family would like to thank the staff of Garland Road Nursing Home for the kind and compassionate care they provided for Bob.
Memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to Enid SPCA with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
