The funeral service for James D Rockwell, age 63, will be Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Jim Edmison will officiate. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the funeal home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Jim was born in Eureka, CA December 31, 1947 to Dorothy and Wes Fuller. He was placed in a Home for children in 1954. Adopted December 21, 1957 by Glenn and Stella Rockwell, Jim finished his childhood in Enid, OK. Jim was a veteran of the US Navy, spending his time with the seventh fleet in the Pacific during the Viet Nam era. Jim followed his lifelong desire of touring the country as a truck driver. He passed away unexpectedly, Christmas morning 2011.
Jim is survived by his immediate family: wife, Chris, daughters, Christina Buckwalter, Jennifer Rockwell and grandchildren: Katelyn, Alex, Wyatt and Jane.
