Service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.
Sharon K. Manuel, 79, of Enid, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving daughter and grandchildren.
Sharon was born on December 10, 1946, to Albert and Maggie Moore. She made Enid her home for the past 53 years, building a life centered around family, education, love, and service to others.
On June 26, 1973, Sharon married the love of her life, Edward Manuel. Together, they shared 53 years of marriage and built a home filled with love and devotion. In Enid, they raised their daughter, Samantha, welcomed grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and created a lifetime of memories together. Edward preceded Sharon in death on January 23, 2026.
Sharon dedicated 30 years of her life to education as a secondary school teacher, with a special focus on special education. Her career reflected the patience, compassion, and commitment to others that defined so much of her life. She cared deeply for her students and devoted herself to helping young people learn, grow, and reach their potential.
Outside of the classroom, Sharon had a beautiful singing voice and a love for music. Those who knew her will remember not only her voice, but the warmth and joy she brought to the people around her.
Above all else, Sharon was a loving, supportive, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was at the center of her life. She took great pride in watching her daughter and grandchildren grow and especially treasured the time she was able to spend with her six great-grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Samantha Wegmiller; her three grandchildren, Tyler Dougherty, Sydnie Woodward, and McKinzie Devereaux; and her six beloved great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Edward Manuel, and her parents, Albert and Maggie Moore.
Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, service, and devotion to family. Her influence lives on in the students whose lives she touched, the family she so deeply loved, and the generations who will carry her memory forward.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
