Sylvester Williams Jr.

A Celebration of Life Service for Sylvester Williams Jr., age 69, of Enid, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Westside Church of God in Christ Church, 1902 W. Chestnut, Enid, OK 73703. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of our brother Sylvester Williams Jr., who departed this life on August 10, 2026.

Born on December 1, 1956, to Sylvester Williams Sr. and Rita R. Starnes, he was raised in Enid, Oklahoma where he attended Enid High School. He decided to proudly answer the call to serve his country as a member of the U.S. Marines. His service as a Marine remained an honorable and meaningful part of his life's journey. He later continued his education by attending Oklahoma State University part time.

Throughout his professional life, he worked in automobile sales, where his ability to connect with people served him well. Most importantly, during his adult life, Sylvester accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, beginning a personal walk of faith that became a part of his life. He was a father, brother, son, veteran, and friend whose life touched those who knew and loved him. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Tony Williams, Tripper-Beau Williams, and Alexzandria Williams; sister Lydia Williams; brother Oda Williams; along with nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester Williams Sr, and Rita R. Starnes; and his younger brother Cleveland Williams.

As we mourn his passing, we also give thanks to God for his life and find comfort in the promise of eternal Life through Jesus Christ.
