Thomas Curt Raloff was born July 3, 1953, in Port Washington, Wisconsin to George and Carla Raloff, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the age of 71, surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, June 30, 2025, at North Garland Church of Christ with Erik Granberg officiating.
He attended Cudahy High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army. A dedicated and courageous serviceman, Tom became a Licensed Practical Nurse and Army Medic, later achieving the status of Army Ranger and serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. During his time in the military, he received the Bronze Star.
After his military service, Tom continued to exemplify hard work during his 20-year career with Hertz Rental Car. Whether in the military or the workplace, Tom was a man of honor and integrity. He lived with quiet strength, humility, and a steadfast commitment to doing what was right.
One of those right things was asking Mary Heath to marry him on their first date. In their 51 years together, their family has grown to over 30 people, to whom he was a constant source of support and encouragement. Tom always had a special place in the crook of his arm for the babies in the family who were soothed by his recitation of the Gettysburg Address.
Tom enjoyed life's simple pleasures: bowling, playing baseball, chips and dip, Pepsi, movies, history, reading, and cheering on his favorite teams. When asked for advice, he would often say, "Don't sweat the small stuff," or "Pray about it." And no matter the moment, he never missed a chance to say, "I love you."
He leaves behind a legacy of service and strength. Tom's life was a testament to what it means to live with purpose, kindness, and honor.
Tom is survived by his wife Mary Raloff of Enid, Oklahoma, son Shawn Raloff and wife Holly of Portland, Oregon, and daughter Lisa Granberg and husband Erik, of Enid, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Tom's name may be made to the North Garland Church of Christ with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
