Virginia Allison

April 15, 1925 — September 14, 2025

Funeral service for Virginia (Huston) Allison, will be 2:00pm, Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Oakwood Christian Church with Reverend Alan Seibel officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the funeral home. Service arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home and Crematory.

Virginia was born April 15, 1925, in Kinsley, KS to Joseph and Mary Huston, and left her earthly home to be with her Lord & God September 15, 2025, at home, surrounded by her family.

Virginia moved to Garber with her parents, one sister & five brothers when she was one year old.

She attended Garber School and graduated with the class of 1943. She married Kenneth Allison and had one son Richard "Rick" Allison. She worked as a medical and Legal Secretary / Bookkeeper. She retired from public employment and worked in the family business, Enid Iron & Metal until retirement. She then volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital as well as Oakwood Christian Church.

While a member of Davis Park Christian Church she taught Sunday school and she and Kenneth sponsored junior high and senior high youth groups. They then transferred to Oakwood Christian Church and became charter members there.

Virginia was an accomplished seamstress and made many garments for her family and friends. She hand pieced many quilts. She never missed a ballgame nor a program for her son, as well as grandchildren. She also was a past member of Thursday sewing club and a Glenwood Neighbors Extension Club.

She was an excellent cook and was always assigned to make desserts.

She relocated to The Commons after her husband's passing, and there she enjoyed the time she spent with her friends and neighbors. Virginia loved her family dearly and was always there for them.

Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Rick, and sister, Vivian Millard, and spouse Ivan; brothers, Sid, Lavern, Earl, Max, and Ralph, as well as their spouses; grandson in law, Tony Wedel, and great-great granddaughter Mayan Roberts. She is survived by three grandchildren, Angela, Dustin, spouse Ashley, and Rikki; great-grandchildren, Michael, spouse Jessica, Olivia, Huston, Isaiah, spouse Nirvana, and Nicholas. Great-great grandchildren; Maddox, Adlee, Kody, Zaelon, Lorena, Jeremyah, Raelynn, Arnece, Ralph-Angel and special nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Carla Henigman who took such loving care of our grandmother. You gave her comfort and peace, and we are forever grateful, thank you.

Memorials can be made to OMRF cancer division, with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
