Ruby was born on March 19, 1934 on a farm in rural Northwest Arkansas to Gordon and Lottie (Smith) Rothrock and passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 in Enid.

Ruby became a Christian at the age of 15 and was baptized at Highfill Baptist Church, Highfill, Arkansas. She married Kenneth West on December 26, 1992. They were married for 21 years before his death. Ruby worked 53 years for Dr. A.W. Janzen and his son Dr. Dwayne Janzen. She touched the lives of many families during these years. She loved her office family. Through the years she loved playing bridge, bowling and square dancing. She enjoyed knitting afghans and left many for others to enjoy. For years she and Ken maintained a colony of Purple Martins which they and the neighbors enjoyed. Ruby loved sports and followed her grandsons all across the United States from ages 6 through 24 years. At all their baseball games she kept stat books which are cherished still today. The greatest joys of her life were her grandsons Cody and Tyler. And then came the bonus of three beautiful great-granddaughters, Gentry, Cheyenne and Emberly. Ruby shared great memories of her years as a child growing up on a farm in Arkansas. She had six sisters, one brother and ten half brothers and sisters. The family wants to thank all of Ruby’s Facebook friends. She enjoyed all your pictures and visits.
