A Memorial Service for Scott Young, 47, of Enid, Oklahoma will be on Tuesday February 21st at 2:00p.m. at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel and will be officiated by his long-time friend Jim Branscum. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 19th, from 8:00a.m. to 9:00p.m.
Scott was born June 27th, 1964 to Eldon Ray Young and Mary Ellen “Vasquez” Holmes and passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 16th, 2012
Scott attended Perry and Morrison schools growing up and graduated from Stillwater High School. He worked for Rite-Way Construction for many years before going to work for Chesapeake Energy.
Scott was blessed with Brandon from his first marriage to Laura Payne; Kasey, Blake and Spencer from his marriage to Michelle Halley. On May 19th, 2008 he married Kassy Hand on the beach in Key West, Florida. It was the happiest day of Kassy’s life.
Scott loved to play his guitar and loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. He was a wonderful Papa. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan.
Scott is survived by his wife Kassy of the home, his children Brandon Young of Oklahoma City, Kasey Brashear and husband Jeremy of Vicco, KY, Blake and Spencer Young of Enid, Oklahoma. His Mother Mary Holmes and husband Roy of Mooresville, IN. His stepmother Sherri Anderson of Tulsa, OK. His sister Lisa Rhodd of Konawa, OK and her children Josh Branscum and Lindsey Beshear and Krishta Rhodd. His grandmother Mary Vasquez of Enid, OK. His grandchildren Gavin and Rylan Brashear, Jaylin and Zerenity Young. Also Kassy’s family which he loved like his own Tish, Robert, Monica, Richard Hand and Richard’s children, Keith and Katy Hand. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Eldon Ray Young “Pooh”.
Scott will truly missed by all who knew him and will never be forgotten “FOREVER” in our hearts.
