Condolences

Condolence From: Nancy Allen
Condolence: My dear Uncle Jack, it is so sweet to see what friends, family and coworkers have shared about you. One of my favorite memories was when you bought my bluebird uniform complete with hat, socks, vest, blouse, skirt!! It was so sweet and even at only 7 years old it was so meaningful to me. I always loved your cigars, little moustache, wink, etc. I love that someone shared you whistled. Grandma, your mom, always whistled and I love that. Now you are whistling together. You were always my hero. Love you, nancy ♡♡

Condolence From: Patrick Corley
Condolence: Jack was my first boss at Vance way back in the '80's. Jack thought of me as a young punk college kid and Jack was just some old retired military dude to me. We were from different worlds! He was hard on me but the longer I worked under Jack the more I came to understand him. After 2 long years Jack and I became very good friends. I learned what a wonderful person he was and what a large heart he had. He was truly an American hero. Everyone that knew him loved him. He will be truly missed...

Condolence: Jack and I were friends for many years when we both worked at Vance. He was always there if help was needed or giving a great smile when he saw you. Thoughts and pray-ers to the family. He will be remembered.

Condolence From: Sherry Tangney
Condolence: My husband & I moved across the street from Jack in 1999. As we moved in Jack was there helping us move in as we drove in. In 2005 John was told he had lung cancer. He had Mesothelioma but local doctor would no confirm it. Jack directed me to the Enid DAV & they took us step by step to the Veterans Hospital in OKC. Without Jack everything would have been so terribly different. John died in 2006 but the VA took care of all the last days of his life. The VA was wonderful & hope Jack knew how much I appreciated him, the VA & all my wonderful neighbors in Enid.

Condolence: Jack has been one of our favorite neighbors for twenty years. It always made me smile to hear him whistling a tune as he walked from his house to Joenita’s place. Jack was a great man and will be missed by many. The neighborhood won’t ever be the same.

Condolence From: Debbie Ragan
Condolence: Oh dear Uncle Jack,
I was so sorry for all of us left behind that just as quietly as most war heroes, you went home to Jesus without any fanfare. All the things that we hear about heaven, your soul now sees including our Saviour Jesus. If you can please, check in on daddy. He is and will miss you forever until he sees you again.
Your life was quite a journey. You were a very good gentlemen.
Love you Uncle Jack
Debbie, your niece

Condolence: I have been Jack's pharmacist for many years. It was always a pleasure to see him come into the pharmacy. We had many, many good conversations about a great variety of subjects. He had a lot of interesting stories from his military days. He was a man of great character and purposefulness. I will miss my friend Jack.

Condolence From: Sherry Smith - Phoenix, AZ
Condolence: My Dear Uncle Jack.
So, so many memories. I will forever hear your laughter, and see your smile beneath that moustache. I remember fondly our Christmas Eve gatherings growing up. What fun it was watching you and Daddy bowl on the league at Shamrock. Seeing you two come home from hunting, carrying the bird treasures along with you, and hearing the stories of your fishing expeditions with Daddy.

I know that Grandma Zaida and Amy Dawn were at the gates to welcome you. Uncle Monte too. I can only imagine the dinner that was waiting.

Just know that you will be missed. Never forget how much you were loved, and always know that you touched our lives.

I will be looking in the skies for the brightest star as I know you hung yours in the sky, as soon as you arrived.

Until we meet at the gates.
I love you,
Your Niece,
Sherry
