Graveside services for Rita Rae (Roland) Martin are 10:00 am, Monday, June 25, 2018 at Enid Cemetery. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Rita was born March 10, 1939 in Rosenberg, Texas to Dudley H. and Pearl J. Roland and died April 4, 2018 at her home in Enid, Oklahoma.

She attended Benton High School in St. Joseph, Missouri and graduated in 1957. She was crowned Miss Shamrock her senior year. Rita went on to attend Sacred Heart Dominican College in Houston, Texas. She married Harrison B. Martin the summer of 1961, in St. Joseph, Missouri and subsequently moved to Houston, Texas to work and start a family.

She was a caring and supportive mother, accomplished operatic vocalist, teacher, amateur artist and avid reader.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Martin, Loveland, CO. and Alex Martin, Oklahoma City, OK: two granddaughters, Kelsey Martin, Chapel Hill, N.C. and Hannah Martin, Ft. Collins, CO: two grandsons, Jeffrey Martin, Loveland, CO and Kyle Martin, Denver, CO: one brother, Michael Roland.

Her husband, Harrison and her parents, Dudley and Pearl, preceded her in death.
