I remember Iola driving a white 4-door Comet during college at NWOSU. On a wild hair one night, a bunch of us girls from good old Pond Creek-Hunter High School decided to go to the bowling alley in Cherokee. So, Robin, Carma, Iola and I decided to take a trip to Cherokee to go bowling! We loaded into the white comet and Iola took us on a joy ride over those rolling hills on the back roads to Cherokee! I can remember flying over those hills and my head hitting the roof of the car, my stomach gurgling as we flew over those hills! We were all laughing our asses off and having a blast! If I remember right, the bowling alley was closed once we got there!
